Research Notes

Gazette des Campagnes, (1861-1956), edition date- April 28, 1949, pg.4, d'Histoire Regionale, paragr.5 - "Le 10 avril 1721 (Dubreuil) en le absence de son pere' alors en France..."(continued in article link)

Google translation of some of article- "On April 10, 1721, (Dubreuil), in the absence of his father then in France, Pierre Ruette d'Auteuil signed, in favor of Charles Miville-dit- Deschênes, a lease to farm, starting from the last of this month and for three years, from the estate of Charles Pocatière Miville-dit-Deschênes the eldest (1671-post 1735), son of the late Jacques Miville and husband of Louise-Catherine Grondin, daughter of the late Jean Grondin. The Miville couple were still at Pocatiere in 1725. Their lease was to end in the autumn of 1724. It was prolonged beyond its term. Indeed, in the donation of the land to build a church 'law' on stone bastira ', July 27, 1725, the lord of Auteuil had to wait for the expiry of the lease made to Charles (Miville) Dechène to deliver terraim (which was on his domain) 'since this has not been reserved'. Two years later, we find the Miville-Deschênes spouses in Berthier. They were in Montreal, in 1735. The confession and enumeration of 1723 don 't have any interesting information on this area of 26 arpents in front of 42 in part and the surplus over all the depth dud. stronghold on which there is a house of 30 feet long pieces on a barn 60 feet long close to boards a stable of 10 feet long pieces on pieces 120 arpens of arable land and 20 arpens of meadow.."[4]
  • per Historical Article Gazette des Campagnes- there were 2 sons name Charles - it is the younger son that leased farm of the older Charles Miville dit Deschenes married to Louise-Catherine Grondin.

It's fine by me George; however, I don't have a pending merge to deal with how do I go about accepting a merge when there's none visible?

5 months since Kelly Bartlett proposed a merge of Miville dit Deschenes-27 and Miville-34. Any objections to accomplishing that objective?

Then there is Mivelle-2 to deal with.
