Born
William Mobberly, usually considered the oldest son of Edward Mobberly, was born about 1718 in Maryland. In 1741 or 1742 in Prince George's County, Maryland he signed a petition to have the county split into a new Parish (and new county). His brother Clement and their father Edward also signed the petition.[1][2] In order to sign the petition, both William and Clement had to be at least 21 years of age.[3]
Died

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
Moberley-27 and Moberly-486 appear to represent the same person because: William Moberly is in my family tree that has been passed down a few generations. It looks like the name has some variation. There are three variations in my tree. My tree shows him married to Ann Osborne born around 1725. I think this is the same person.
