Born in South Africa, Limpopo Province, the city of Polokwane at Mankgaile village. Phetola is the son of Mokgohloa and Mahlako. He grew up looking after cattle like most of the village boys molded by their communities in the rural areas.
Phetola is named after his Great-Grandfather. A Lobedu boy attended his primary and secondary education at Mankgaile, Mothiba primary schools and Mothimako High School. He did his tertiary education with the University of the North now called the University of Limpopo and the University of Pretoria.
Phetola is currently staying in South Africa, Limpopo, Polokwane, Nobody-GaMothiba village. He is presently leading 'Ditlogalo-tsa-Phetola-le-Maphalle' whose purpose is to unite and teach the descendants of Phetola and Maphalle about their roots and customs. Phetola and Maphalle left Bolobedu in the late 1800 or early 1900 leaving their elder brother Masilo behind. It is our wish that we ultimately bring the descendants of Masilo on board as well. Our aim is eventually to unite the descendants of Masilo, Phetola and Maphalle. These are the sons of Mabine and Ngwana-Selobjane. Know where you come from, Know where you are presently and then determine your way forward (Sankhofa). My numbers are +27795254403 and +27829786199.
Phetola is married to Mapula and they are blessed with three sons Mokgohloa, Masedi and Masilo.
