Biography
Margaret Eurydice Mohler Kemper was born in Cumberland County Pennsylvania to Jacob Mohler and Anna Nancy Stark one of twelve children. Margaret accepted Christ as her savior at age 19 and was married to Isaac Kemper, a farmer and carpenter on November 6th 1834, and to this union ten children were born. The Kemper family relocated to Stephenson County Illinois in 1855.
"Grandma Kemper's" obit gave this description: "Hers was indeed a beautiful, noble, christian, self-sacrificing life, reflecting love, sunshine, cheer, and courage in the home, in the church and community where she moved. For her "To live was Christ: to die Gain" (The Morrill Weekly News, 9 Dec 1909, p.7 , col 1-2) added by J R Nash.
