Hi Shane , and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in Ireland and England. I wanted to let you know we have a great new project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project which links to our Irish Roots Project They would be a great places for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.
You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in both projects will be happy to help you in any way they can.
Thank you so much for joining WikiTree.
Good luck with your research in 2015.
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. We are building one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.
It is important to check for duplicates as you add any Profiles to WikiTree. Instead of making another profile of the same person, we add our sources to profiles which match ours and are already on WikiTree.
Hi I'm Shane and am interested to find out if I really am a distant relative of the legendary Irish Chieftain Niall of the Nine Hostages and the Southern branch on the U Neil Clan as they say the Molloys of my paternal line are. Hopefully some colourful ancestors to meet along the way. I never knew my Maternal Grandfather and I only found out recently he was a convict with the surname Jackson, a Northumbrian name! My Paternal Grandmothers line is the Hurdsfield family whom I believe are of anglo saxon descent. My Maternal Grandmothers line is Wicks which is Norman.
