Biography

Effie Teresa Molyneaux was born on June 19, 1888 in Buffalo, Erie, New York to John Molyneaux and Harriet Emma Eggleton, the sixth of eight girls. John and Emma Molyneaux immigrated to the United States from Canada in 1887, and the family resided in Buffalo, New York. Her father was a brick layer. ^[1]

In 1905, in the New York State Census, 9-year-old Effie lived in Buffalo with her parents and five of her seven sisters - Louisa Jane (Lou), Anna, Jennie, Gladys and Marjorie. ^[2]

In 1910, Effie lived with her parents and her sisters Louisa Jane (Lou), Jennie, Gladys, and Marjorie in Buffalo Ward 22. She was employed as a bookkeeper for an electrical company. ^[3]

On October 25, 1911, Effie married Latham Blacker Heron at Fort Erie, Welland, Ontario, Canada. ^{[4] [5]} Their first child, Latham, was born in about 1913 but did not survive infancy.

In 1920, Effie and Latham lived in Buffalo, Ward 24, with their three children, Wesley, Carol and Gladys. Latham was a routing clerk in a factory. ^[6] Another daughter, Audrey Jean, was born in 1921.

In 1930, Effie resided in New Albion, Cattaraugus, New York with her husband, Latham, and four children - Wesley, Carol, Gladys, Audrey Jean, and widowed father-in-law, Richard M. Heron. ^[7]

Effie and Latham lived in rural New Albion, Cattaraugus, New York in 1940. ^[8] They lived the latter part of their lives in Gowanda, Erie, New York.

Effie died on June 15, 1983 and was buried at Liberty Park Cemetery, Cattaraugus, New York, next to her husband, Latham. ^{[9] [10]}
