Ellen or Anne Molyneux, is the daughter of Sir William Molyneux of Sefton, co. Lancs.,[1] and his second wife, Ellen Radcliffe.[2]

Note: Molineux of Sefton (1872), asserts that her given name was "Anne,"[3] but this contradicts the pedigrees listed by Nevill of Chevet (1899),[1] and Flower (1881).[4]

She's the second wife of Sir Robert Nevill of Liversedge, co. York. He was previously married to [--Agnes?--] Scargill.[1]

The Molyneux pedigree calls her husband "Richard."

According to Nevill of Chevet (1899), Ellen and her husband are the parents of:[1]

  • Sir John
  • William
  • Edward
  • Alice (d. 1509).
m. John Sothill of Sothill.
  • Jane.
m. Richard Bosvile of Gunthwaite.

CAUTION: Smith (1883), lists a different construction of Ellen's children:[5]

  • John
  • Edward
  • Alice
m. Mr. Soothill
m. Mr. Lacy of Cromwell Botton
m. Mr. Burdet of Denby
  • Beatrice
m. Mr. Bannister
  • Elizabeth.[8]
m. Richard Beaumont, esq. of Whitley
  • Maud
m. Mr. Passelew of Riddlesden
  • Joyce
