Giuseppe Mondello, son of the late Vincenzo and Maddalena Mundello, marries Vincenza d'Alfonzo, daughter of the late Cristoforo and the living Angela Alfonzo, on 24 November 1737.[1]
Giuseppe and Vincenza have at least eight children: Maria (c. 1739), Vincenzo (c. 1740), Maddalena (c. 1744), Antonino (c. 1751), Angela (c. 1753), Leoluca (c. 1755), Giovanni (c. 1756), and Matteo (c. 1757).
Maria is born around 1739, based on her reported age at death.
Vincenzo is born around 1740, based on his reported age at death. Vincenzo is named after his paternal grandfather.
I estimate Maddalena, named after her paternal grandmother, is born around 1744, twenty years before she marries.
I estimate Angela is born around 1753, twenty years before she marries.
Leoluca is born around 1763, based on his reported age at death: only twelve years before he marries. I estimate he is born around 1755.
I estimate Giovanni is born around 1756, less than twenty years after his parents marry.
Maddalena marries Paolino Orlando on 19 February 1764. Her mother's surname is not recorded.[2]
Maria marries Mercurio Mannina on 8 April 1771. Her father has died by this time.[3]
Antonino marries Teresa Palumbo on 12 January 1772.[4]
Angela marries Giovanni Mannina (of unknown relation to Mercurio) on 21 November 1773.[5]
Giovanni marries Margherita di Carlo on 13 January 1782. His mother is still living.[7]
Matteo marries Maria Giunta on 17 June 1787. His parents have both died by this time.[8]
Vincenzo, husband of Giovanna, dies at age 50 (b. 1740) on 23 December 1790.[9]
Maria dies at age 80 (b. 1739) on 3 February 1819. Mercurio survives her.[10]
Leoluca dies, a widower, reportedly at age 60 (b. 1763) on 22 July 1823. By my estimate, he is at least 68.[11]
Death
Giuseppe dies at the reported age of 50 on 5 July 1770 after receiving last rites.[12]
