Biography

William Nathaniel Mosley was born 7 September 1837 in Emanuel County, Georgia, the son of Edmond Wall Moseley and Mary Ann Monroe[1]. Born out of wedlock, his father had his name legally changed to Moseley 1 February 1854[2].

He appears on the 1850[3] census in the household of his father.

He married Elizabeth Daniel around 1860. They lived in Tattnall County, Georgia in 1860[4]. In 1870, they lived in Georgia with children Edmond, Charity, James, and Eliza[5].

In 1880[6] and 1900[7], he and his wife and children are living in Tattnall County, Georgia. In 1900, they also have an adopted daughter, Effie Overstreet.

His daughter Frances died in 1901[8].

By 1920 only William and Elizabeth were living in Reidsville, Tattnall County[9].

He died 5 December 1926 in Reidsville, Tattnall County, Georgia and was buried in Mount Carmel Church Cemetery, Reidsville, Tattnall County, Georgia[1][10].
