Biography
Effie Lucindy Monroe was born October 19,1879 to Thomas Jefferson Monroe and Sarah Ann Kornegay in Leon, Texas. Her mother passed away while giving birth to Effie. [1]
Effie married Charles Edward Chance on September 15, 1897 in Milam County, Texas.
Effie died, at the age of 62, on August 6, 1942 in Compton, California. She is buried at the Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas. [2]
