Esther was born in 1913, daughter of Abraham Montanhes and Marianne Da Silva Abinata.
She was married to Benjamin van Gelder in 1938 in Eindhoven.[1]
The family was deported via the transit camps Vught and Westerbork to Auschwitz.
Esther arrives in Eindhoven in July 1945 after a terrible death march.
She is very ill and dies a few days after her return to the St. Joseph hospital.
Their son Eliazer survives Auschwitz.
