1900 Census: Bardstown, Nelson, Kentucky,household of William F. Munford , Father: William F, age 39. Birthdate Sep. 1860, Birthplace Michigan, Parent's birthplace: New York. Occupation: Photographer. Mother: Mary Age 39, Birthdate: Oct.1860, Birthplace: Germany, Parent's Birthplace: Germany. Child #1: Brother Frank, Age 17, Birthdate: Sep. 1882,Child # 2 Name was spelled "Arcie", Date of birth listed was June, 1884, Age 15 Child # 3: Brother, Dell A. Age 14, Birthdate Feb. 1886, Child # 4: Willie Age 12, Birthdate Feb. 1888 Child # 5: Sister, Louise Age 7 Born August 1892, Child # 6: Nora, Age 4, Born: June 1895. ( Mary, the mother, stated that 8 children were born and 8 were living, so two were not accounted for in this census) all siblings listed were named as born in Kansas. All children listed as in school except Louise and Nora

1910 Census Kentucky, Nelson County, Magesterial District 3: Monfort, William F. Head of House. 49 Years old, Married for 29 Years. Born in Michigan, Parents born in New York. Photographer by Trade. Owns house, Self Employed. Wife: Mary, 49 years old, born in Germany, parents both born in Germany spoke German. Mary speaks English, mother tongue is German. Child # 1 is Delbert V., male, 24 years old. He was born in Kansas, and employed for wages as an agent in the "express" industry. Child # 2 is Louise, Female, age 17, who is still in school. Child # 3 is Nora, who is 14 and still at school.

1920 Census, Anchorage, Jefferson, Kentucky. Head of household: W.F. Montford, age 59, Can read and write, Born in Michigan, Both Parents Born in New York. Was a general laborer on a farm. Also listed were: His wife Mary, also 59, who stated she immigrated in 1865, and was naturalized in 1875. She stated that she could read and write and that she was born in alcase-Lorraine and her mother-tongue was German, and that her parents were both from Alcase-Lorraine, and that they spoke German. She stated that she could speak English. Next, is child#1, V.W, who was 33 years old, single, and was a furniture salesman. next, we have child # 2 Nora, who was 24, and single, with no occupation. Finally, we have child # 3, grand-daughter, Sarah, who was 9 months old. She was born in Kentucky, her father in Kansas, and Mother in Georgia [note discrepency, Her parent's birthplaces were mixed up!]. Finally, I have to add that they lived next door to J.P. Hamilton,age 30, and Wife, Louise Hamilton.age 27, who were the parents of grand-daughter Sarah, and whose birthplaces were correctly listed as Georgia for J.P. and Kansas for Louise.

1940 Census. Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky. Household of James Hamilton, 164 Pennsylvnia Ave. W.F. Montfort stated he was the father-in-law, [Mary's father] and that he was 79 years old. He stated that he had an 8th grade education, and that he was born in Michigan. He stated that, as of April 1, 1935, he was living at the same address. Instead of unable to work, his ability had been listed as "other". Also in the household were Head of household: JAmes, age 50, who had 3 years of highschool and was born in Georgia. He was employed as a General Claim Agent for the Steam Railroad, and listed an income of 5,000 dollars. (nobody else in the house worked that year. Following is his wife, Mary L., a 47 year old female with 2 years of high school. she was born in Kansas. she was listed as engaged in "homework". Following is daughter Nancy, 19 years old, who had 3 years of highschool and was currently attending school. She was born in Kentucky

HAMILTON, Mrs. Mary Louise Age 91 years, at 3 P.m. Tues., Feb. 14, 1984, at Humana Hospital Suburban. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Robert E. Wakefield, Mrs. Albert B. McCulloch of Prospect, Kv., 2 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild; sister, Mrs. Nora Zuver and brother, Mr. William F. Monttort, Jr. A graveside service will be held at II a.m. Fri. in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will follow at her residence, 7321 Glen Arbor Rd. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Bardstown Rd. Presbyterian Church or the Ronald McDonald House. Herbert C. Oalle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
