Mary Montgomery was born on 15 August, 1867 to Paul and Catherine (Deroine) Montgomery.[1] While it is sourced that Paul and Catherine were her parents, a birth certificate or christening record has not been located.[2]
Marriage
Mary Louise Montgomery married Herman Lohbeck before 1894 and they lived and raised their children in St. Louis, MO.[3] It appears that her marriage to Herman was her second, as she had a stepson, with the last name of Incamp.
Notable Events
Mary had at least six siblings that include James, Jerry, Joseph, Eliza, and Julia, and a stepbrother, Henry Incamp. She later had three children of her own, Marie E., Edna, and Alvin H. Lohbeck and does not appear to have ever worked outside the home. In the early years of her marriage, her husband was a day laborer, but by 1910 he was a brewer at Griesedieck Brewery, where he remained until at least 1940 and possibly until his death in 1943.[4][5][6] She was five years older than her husband and 76 at the time of his death; she did not remarry.[7]
Death
Mary Montgomery Lohbeck died on 17 April 1956. She is interred in Section 1 at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Affton, St. Louis County, MO. Her memorial I.D. is 141278215.[8][9]
Research Notes
Additional research is needed for birth and/or christening records.
Neither Herman Lohbeck's nor Mary Montgomery's marriage certificate has been located. Additional research is needed to determine the marriage date.
Further investigation is needed regarding Mary's first marriage to a Mr. Incamp and the son she had by that marriage.
The Find A Grave source indicates her death occurred in 1967. The image of her headstone shows her death as occurring in 1956.
Family tree is a work in progress - To avoid the creation of unsourced profiles, parents, additional children, and siblings will be added to the header at a later date when current projects are completed.
