Biography

Amy Mildred Montgomery was born on May 2, 1903, in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.^[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Montgomery and Martha A Little.

She married Roy A Barler (1889-1963) in about 1927, in Mississippi. They had 8 known children.

They were living on their farm in Panola County, Mississippi in 1930, with their children, Erline-4, mary Ann-2 and Glen-0, where Roy was a Farmer.^[2]They made their home in Pontotoc County, Mississippi in 1940, where Roy, age 49, was farming, and Mildred-37, was taking care of the home and children, Glen-10, Martha-8, Jaunita-4, and John-0.^[3]

By 1957, they were living on Homer Street in Galion, Ohio.^[4] Roy was working for the Galion Iron Works & Manufacturing, as a Carpenter.

Her husband Roy passed away on November 17, 1963 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio, at the age of 73.

She died on December 16, 1970, at the age of 67, in Gallon, Crawford County, Ohio,^[5] in the Galion Community Hospital,^[6] and was buried in the Rivercliff Cemetery in Mount Gilead, Morrow County, Ohio.^[1]
