Biography

Daniel N Montgomery was born in ca. June 1858, in Mississippi. He was the son of William M. Montgomery and Julia Cruse. At age 10, he was in his parent's, William and Julia's home in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, along with 3 of his siblings.[1]

He married Clarinna Pilcher on July 18, 1883 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.[2]

He married Lela J Hill (1864-) in about 1885, in Mississippi. They had 7 children, with 5 living in 1910.

  4. Alice Montgomery (1900-)
  5. Grace Montgomery (1908-)

Dan was a Farmer by trade. He and Lela were living in Union County, Missisippi in 1910, where he was doing general farming, and Lela was taking care of the home and family, Walter-20, and his wife Georgia-24, and their 2 children, Ethel-17, Scott-13, Alice-10.[3]

They moved on to a farm in Marshall County, Mississippi by 1920. At this time they had Scott-23, Alice-19 and Grace age 11, in the home.[4]

He died in 1928 in Mississippi.[5]
