Howard G Montgomery was born on April 24, 1885[1] in Mississippi. At 12, he was in his Parent's home in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, along with his 3 siblings.[2]
Widowed, at age 22, he was farming and living with his parent's in Union County, Mississippi by 1910.[3]
He married Lillie M Morris (1889-1961) in about 1914, in Mississippi. Children.

They were made their home in Union County where Howard was a Farmer raising cotton. They were on their farm with , Ruby-14, Leroy-12, Vala-10, Ruth-8, and Fallie-3 in 1930.[4]
He died on May 5, 1932 at the age of 47, in Union Couty, mississippi, and was buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Etta, Union county, Mississippi.[1]
