Biography

James T Montgomery was the son of Eveline Shore and Joshua R Montgomery.[1]

James T Montgomery, age 9, born in Indiana, was recorded in the 1850 census in Clay & Richland, Clay county. Illinois in the household of James T Shore, 26, Elizabeth Shore, 18, and John W Shore, 6 months.[2]

James Montgomery married Mahala Parks 26 Jan 1860.[3]

He was recorded on 1 Jun in the 1880 census at Pixley Township, Clay, Illinois as Thos. Montgomery, 36, farmer, born in Indiana to parents from Kentucky and North Carolina, married to Elisabeth, 32, with children Joshua, 13, Martha, 11, Mary, 8, Isaac, 5, and Sarah, 2.[4]

He married Elizabeth Wood Fisher in Clay, Illinois in 1895, and was then recorded as being 54 years old.[1]

James T Montgomery, born Mar 7 1842, died Oct 7 1899 and was buried at Ingraham cemetery, Clay, Illinois.[5]
