DEATH:

George (his X mark) Montgomery signed his will 11 Apr 1877. It was proved 7 Aug 1877 in Carroll Co., Tennessee (Tennessee, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1779-2008" at ancestry.com, page 188, image 367/568). Find A Grave: Memorial #106268963 says that he died 18 May 1877. There is no tombstone.
