Dorcas Montgomery was born 27 Oct 1820 in Gibson County, Indiana, the daughter of Benjamin Montgomery and Mary Smith. On 13 Oct 1839, she married Samuel H. Boren, and together they had nine children.[1]
Samuel died in 1881, and Dorcas lived on another twenty-two years. In 1900, she was living in Haubstadt, Johnson County, with her unmarried daughter, Miranda. She died 10 Apr 1903 at age 82 and is buried with her husband at Liberty Cemetery, Cynthiana, Posey County, Indiana.
