Grace Jenkins Johnson, great-granddaughter of Eugenia Montpelier, as interviewed extensively on video by another granddaughter, Eleanor Stockman Simonds. The video footage is in the possession of many descendants of Emma and Adrean. In the years before the interview, Gracie passed along notes describing Eugenia's three marriages and the names, birth dates, death dates, spouses, and sometimes children of her children.
Granddaughter Nettie Lee Stockman Richmond said that Eugenia died 15 June 1865.

Note that one of her grandchildren (via son Adrean Stockman) was named "Vashti Eugenia", in honour of each of the child's grandmothers. Another grandchild (via daughter Margaret Potts) was named "Eugenia Vesti".
