Biography

Barbara was born about 1854 and was possibley the daughter of William and Margaret (Walton) Moody.

In 1861 Barbara was a visitor, age 9 living with Elizabeth Willis, who was a Grocer and Confectioner in Wolsingham. [1]

In 1876 she married Alfred Pape in Darlington and lived there for most of her life. [2]

By 1881 they had four children, Lilly in 1875, Thomas Alfred in 1876, Isabella in 1878 and George Henry in 1880. [3]

Barbara and Alfred had another son Herbert in 1888, who died the following year. [4]

Some time after 1891 they moved to Hunslet in Leeds and in 1901 their youngest son George Henry is still living at home. [5]

Barbara passed away about 1909 age 54. [6]
