Matilda married Ernest Walker Moody in Malvern, South Australia on 6 December 1910.^[2] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Register, on 9 January 1911:^[3]

MOODY —MOODY. —On the 6th December, 1910, at the residence of J. W. Shannon, Esq., Malvern, by the Rev. J. H. Parkinson, Ernest W. Moody, of Mundullah, to M. Ruth Moody, daughter of the late S. B. Moody, Kilkerran.

Matilda died in Brighton, South Australia on 20 November 1923 at the age of 51 years.^[4] The following death notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Register, on 21 November 1923:^[5]

MOODY. — On the 20th November, at Brighton, M. Ruth, the wife of Ernest W. Moody, aged 51 years.

Matilda was buried at the North Brighton Cemetery in Brighton, South Australia on 21 November 1923.^[6][7]
