Biography

Maggie was born in London and immigrated to the United States to join her sister. Maggie obtained work as a maid for a family in New York City . Maggie eventually found employment as a maid in Richmond, Indiana, where she met her future husband, Curtis Lafuze. Curtis and Maggie lived in Union County, Indiana and had three children. Their third child, Curtis Arthur Lafuze, died when he was two years old.

Baptism

Maggie was baptized with four of her siblings on June 14, 1876, at St. Stephen's Church in South Lambeth, London, England.^[1] A transcription of the baptism record is available on WikiTree: 1876 St. Stephen Baptism Record.

1881 Census
