Biography

William Moon was an Assisted Immigrant to New South Wales.

William Banks Moon was born 23 JUN 1804 in Rolvenden, Kent.[1] He was the son of John Moon and Anne.

WIlliam married Hannah Care 19 Oct 1823 in Rolvenden.[2][3] They went on to have at least 6 children between 1824 and 1840.

William and Hannah migrated as Bounty Immigrants to Australia in 1838 via the Maitland. William was 34 years of age and described as a a farm labourer from Benenden, Kent.[4][5]

He died at home at 43 Bent St, Paddington, NSW on 23 APR 1890[6] and was buried at the Rookwood Necropolis.[7][8]
