Biography

  • Peter served in the 63rd Regiment of Foot ("West Suffolk") 1825-1847. He would have served mostly in India and Australia, the latter as a convict guard[1]. His daughter was born during his service in India
  • Peter immigrated to Australia as a Military Pensioner and worked his passage as a convict guard on board "Lady Kennaway" arrived 6/6/1851.[2]
  • Lived: Westbury (12 Five Acre Row) Tasmania (by allotment during military pension)
