There were many people named George Moore, so records can easily be confused.
Records variously show George Moore's birth between 1846-50 in New York.
The 1875 New York state census, at Greenbush, showed George with his wife Louisa and children Florence and Frank - but the name was written "George F. More" rather than "Moore".
The 1880 U.S. census showed George Moore with wife Louisa and their children at Albany, New York.
The 1900 U.S. census at Rochester, New York showed "Geo. F. Moore" born in September 1848 was a "roomer" and an "engine dispatcher". Was this the same person? Birth year is "off" by several years so identification isn't clear. Absurd use of just the initial "F." instead of full middle name makes positive identification difficult.
www.findagrave.com shows a burial of George F. Moore at Greenbush Cemetery, Rensselaer County, New York, with wife Louisa Mink. But it shows no date of birth and no date of death!
