OBITUARY. DEATH OF MR. F. E. MOORE. The death occurred on Sunday last at the Goomalling Hospital of Mr. F L. Moore at the age of 43 years. The deceased who had been ill for some time, was universally respected, and had been prominent as a member of most of the movements in Goomalling. He was born in Melbourne, Victoria. on September 11, 1889, and came to Goomalling some 20 years ago, and entered into business with his father. He later formed a partnership with a Mr. Ford and undertook building, Mr. Moore being a carpenter by trade. Later he assumed the managership of Millar's Timber & Trading Company at Goomalling, a position which he held until he first became ill. He associated himself with the Goomalling Agricultural Society, the Race Club, and was one of the first members of the Oddfellows Lodge in Goomalling. He was also an ardent Freemason. He was always ready to help others with his best counsel and advice, and was deservedly popular throughout the district. As one of the oldest members of the Goomalling Lodge of Oddfellows his presence and advice will be sadly missed. He was of a kindly and placid disposition, and these traits endeared him to all with whom he came in contact. The funeral, which was conducted by Rev. O'Rourke, took place on Monday last, the interment being in the Methodist portion of the Goomalling cemetery. A large number of residents attended to pay their last respects. The cortege left his late residence headed by members of the Oddfellows Lodge, and the Freemason's Lodge, and proceeded by way of James Street, along Railway Terrace, to the cemetery. At the conclusion of the service by Rev. O'Rourke, District Grand Master C. Connolly of the Oddfellows Lodge, read portion of the burial service for Oddfellows. Practically every organisation was represented. Members of the Goomailing Road Board, the Health Board, the Agricultural Society, the Race Club being in attendance. The coffin bearers were recruited from the Oddfellows Lodge. They were Messrs. Alf Lockyer, Alf Lynn, T. Nicholson and Allen Lynn. The pal lbearers were from the Freemason's Lodge and were Messrs J. H. Ackland (Wongan Hills), A. Campbell, A. W. Fergusson, G. Anstey, C. G. Ross, A. A. Smith, I. H. Royal and G. Allanson (Dowerin). The deceased leaves a widow and four children and to them the deepest sympathy of the residents of the district is extended.
