WHEELER—MOORE.
A very pretty wedding took place in St. John's Church of England on Wednesday, 9th inst., when the Ven. Archdeacon Dunstan united in the holy bonds of wedlock Mr. John Wheeler, second son of Mr. John Wheeler, of Perry-street, and Miss Ivy Isabel Moore, eldest daughter of Mr. E. S. Moore, of Mortimer-street. The bride, who was given away by her father, was prettily attired in white ivory silk, tucked and trimmed with soft white lace and insertion. She wore the orthodox wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet and morocco bound prayer-book and also wore a handsome gold watch and chain, gifts of the bridegroom. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Moore and Wheeler, sisters of the bride and bridegroom. The bridesmaids were dressed in white Spanish lawn, with pink sashes, and wreaths of flowers in hair and corsage. Each carried bouquets, and wore gold brooches, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. F. Wheeler filled the role of best man. From the church the bridal party proceeded to Mr P. S. Garling's Royal Studios, and after being photographed they drove to the Coronation Hall, where a sumptuous breakfast was in readiness, supplied by Mr. H. Smith, of the Enterprise Bakery. At this about 40 guests assembled, and the usual toasts were proposed and duly honored, under the chairmanship of Mr. L. Cohen. The tables were cleared about 7 o'clock, and dancing was indulged in until the early hours of the morning, Mr. Cohen acting as M.C. Songs and recitations were also given by the company.

Together they had 6 children.

  1. Isabel G. (Wheeler) Prince (1910s - 1930s)
  2. Ivy Victoria (Wheeler) Tunnicliff (1907 - )
  3. Pearl M W Wheeler (1909 - )
  4. Madge I R Wheeler (1912 - 1912)
  5. Thelma M Wheeler (1913 - 1914)
  6. Nellie Sarah (Wheeler) Rayner (1919 - 2004).
