Troy - Bennie E. Moore passed away on February 5, 2018. He was born in Bastrop, La., attended Bastrop High School, Northeast Louisiana University and served in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration where he was a radar technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Enoch Moore, Erma Pardue Moore Ferguson, step-father, Charles R Ferguson and brother-in-law, Sherrill Newman. He is survived by his wife, June Newman Moore, and three children: daughter, Teresa Boyd (James) of West Helena, AR, son, Randy Moore (Andrea) of Bartlett, TN, and son, Ben Moore (Deserae) of Suwanee, GA, grandchildren, Blair Boyd Beavers (Jared), Evin Boyd Knighten (Brad), Lindsey Moore Price (Travis), Jamie Boyd, Shelby Moore, Taylor Moore, Elisabeth Moore and Eric Moore. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, a brother, Don Moore (Ann), sister-in-law, Tammy Olsen (Rob), sister-in-law, Lynn Newman and brother-in-law, Cyril Newman (Linda).
Pall bearers will be Britt Newman, Todd Floyd, James Boyd, John Prosser, Joey Campbell and Terry Grant.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 5-7 and funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 at Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery.
The family would like to express appreciation to Compassus Hospice for their dedicated service and care. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Enon Cemetery Fund (5600 County Rd 6647, Banks, AL 36005) would be appreciated.[1][2]
