"Benjamin A Moore; b. 29 Jun 1797 at Mount Desert, Hancock, Maine; m. Eliza Stanley, daughter of Sans Stanley and Elizabeth Mayo, 7 Jan 1825; d. 29 Jun 1842 at Tremont, Hancock, Maine, at age 45; he was buried at Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor, Hancock, Maine."

Cautionary Note : Benjamin S/F Moore [d. 1843, who's wife was Rebecca Moore] is some times identified in error as the son of Welch Moore and Sarah Spurling. He may be Benjamin S. Moore, master of the schooner United States from INTERCOURSE WITH FOREIGN NATIONS. 55 [1843] Noted; see as possibly son of "Joshua [Moore-176] was born 19 May 1774, in Ellsworth, Maine. He is the oldest of six children. He married Elizabeth (Betsey) JORDAN [Jordan_48] in 1798 in Trenton, Maine. They had ten children: Joseph, Abigail, Jane H., Joshua Jr., Elizabeth (Betsey), James Grant, Emma H., Olive G., Mary Osborn [m Moses Carr], and Benjamin S. " from Shaking my tree.
