Portius Moore was born on Oct 15, 1781, according to his tombstone. He was the son of Grizey Phillips and Stephen Moore, who established the Mount Tirzah plantation in Caswell County, North Carolina (later Person County) in 1778. He died on Dec 3, 1847 in Person County, North Carolina. [1]
Married to Frances Webb on March 28, 1806 in Granville County, North Carolina.[2]
