My 2nd grandmother (maternal side) was France Peebles (Moore) Lee of Virginia. Moore-35827 (via her son Leroy Madison Lee)

I'm interested in any information you might find on a Moore family in Virginia (Sussex, Prince George Counties most likely) (1814 - 1910)

Hello, Julie

My Moore ancestors came from Virginia to North Carolina in the 1700s before the Revolution...Jesse Moore, Sr.,Jesse Moore, Jr., Daniel Moore, Sr. They are in the Wikitree. I believe some of Jesse, Jr. and Daniel's descendants did wind up in Arkansas, others in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and probably Tennessee. My line is through Daniel's son Nelson, who migrated to Kentucky then Indiana and finally settled in Illinois.
