Rob't, sorry but I can't say for certainty who the father of John Alexander's is. Dan C.

Hi Daniel, I'm currently working on clarifying a Y DNA mystery. It seems descendants of this line are carrying Muir/Mure/Moore Y, and the date of the paternal event is of interest to me as it would pinpoint the location of my line, probably ca. 1580s.

Has anyone confirmed John's parents? If confirmed to Thomas (b. ca. 1630), I'd be curious to know if Archibald has been confirmed as the father of Thomas. I've seen a number of trees, and a number of inconsistencies in those trees, but, if this line is solidly traceable to John Alexander of Eredy, I'm thinking John's father was very likely a Muir/Mure.

Hi! Thanks so much for the post about DNA on Noland-140. My Dad (Noland) had the Y-111 test. He matched to a male Noland cousin, who was also said to be descended from Noland-140 (through son William), but who did not join WikiTree. I've just sent him another e-mail about joining - it's been a few years, so maybe he'll have time to do so now. I'm not having success in finding his kit number in my saved e-mails. If/when I do, what is the sequence that I'm looking for? (the "Type III Irish Y DNA. This distinctive Y-DNA signature...")

Hi Liz!,

Yes, Irish Type III displays the following distinctive markers:

DYS439 = 11 DYS456 = 15 DYS459 = 8,9 DYS464 = 13,13 15,17 DYS463 = 25

Also, we're currently awaiting Y-111 results for a second Hilliard who should match kits 360774 and 910603.

Do you have any sources for the Eliza Danielson [Danielson-565], John Moore [Moore-45311], and Priscilla Moore [Moore-45316] family unit? I'm thinking about working on some of my "loose" very extended Darnall/Darnell family ... wouldn't you know that Priscilla fell in my lap. (Father-in-law of 8th great-uncle ... as I said ... extended). Thanks if you have something to share.

Thank you for sharing & letting us know about the siblings of Benjamin!! Awesome. Keep up the Good work... Hugs
Thank you for the recommendation. I will be uploading much more of my family tree, specifically the Emerson side but all relations as I can, as soon as possible. I gave most of it on currently, but I would like to branch out so that I can expand my tree more.
I have been wanting to get my DNA analyzed and to have my little brother also analyzed, so I can have a good picture of both my maternal and paternal lineage. I hope to be able do that soon. If your family line has a connection to Thomas Emerson Sr and Rev Joseph Sr (both of which my great grandfathers) then it appears we are related
You're welcome. I have managed ro trace back my Emerson side to my 15th great grandfather, George Emerson circa 1484. And, actually it is Thomas Emerson's grandson, Rev Joseph Emerson's son Ebenezer that connects me to Ralph Waldo Emerson, making Ralph my 4th cousin 6× removed.

Robert is 18 degrees from Mary Pickford, 20 degrees from Cheryl Skordahl and 18 degrees from Henry VIII of England on our single family tree. Login to find your connection.
