Biography

"Robert was born about 1788..He was born at sea in route from Ireland. He was the second son of Robert and Isabell (Chambers) Moore. They settled in Westmoreland County and then near Enon Valley, PA in 1800. In 1834 he bought a farm of 160 acres and built a home in South Beaver Twp., Beaver Co., PA. He and his wife, Jane Ross(Andrews)Moore were members of the New Salem Presbyterian Church."^[1]

Robert Jr. was a farmer and owned real estate valued at $2400. Samuel, Robert III., David and George W. were also farmers.^[4]
• 1860 U. S. Census: Robert Moore Jr., age 62, lived in South Beaver Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, with wife Jane, 60, and grown children, Margaret, 27, and George W., 25.
