- Mary Barnum Moore was born in 1824 in Maine, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Child) Moore. She married Gershom Weston, Jr.

In 1850, the Weston family lived in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The household included Gershom B. Weston, 28, born in Massachusetts, a mariner with $4000 in real estate; his wife Mary B., 26, b. Maine; their two daughters, both born in Massachusetts: Judith, 6, in school; and Caroline, 1. Also living with them was Ann Jolan, 16, b. Ireland. [2]NOTE: Judith probably died before 1855, as she does not appear on the 1855 Census.
In 1855, the Weston family was living in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The household included Gershom B. Weston, Jr., 34, a mariner; his wife Mary B., 31; their three daughters, Caroline, 6; Mary, 4; and Grace B., 1. Also living with them was Judith Weston, 19 (probably Gershom’s sister). All were born in Massachusetts.; and Catherine Flatterly, 21, born in Ireland. Living nearby was Gershom, Jr.’s father, his second wife, and their large family. [3]
- Mary died, aged 81, in 1906 in Waltham, Massachusetts, and is buried with her husband in Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury, Massachusetts. [4]
