Karl Moore passed away Sept. 22 after living what he called "a blessed life." Karl is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bettye Jeane; son Jim Moore and his wife Helen of San Antonio; Steven Moore and his wife Betty of Sugar Land; Sue Ann Green and her husband Glen of Seguin; daughter-in-law Clarene Moore; eight grandchildren and their spouses; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Karl was preceded in death by his eldest son Wesley Moore.

Karl was born in Raymondville on April 29, 1932, but lived most of his life in San Antonio. He received numerous commendations during his civil service career as a medical photographer at Brooks Air Force Base and Ft. Sam Houston. Karl was an accomplished steel guitarist. He and Bettye Jeane played music together at venues all over the country. They owned BJ's Southside Music for over 30 years and have been members of Bellaire Baptist Church for over 50 years.
