The death took place in Windsor on Tuesday night, of Mrs. Maria Burton, relict of the late John Burton, who carried on a butchering business in the town for many years. He predeceased her by several years. The late John Burton conducted his business for some years where Mr. Walter Carey now carries on, and was formerly in the little shop near the Salvation Army Hall. The late Mrs. Burton was 69 years of age, and had been ailing for some time. She was a very charitable woman and was greatly respected by all who knew her. The burial took place in St. Matthew's C.E. cemetery on Wednesday, Rev. N. Jenkyn, R.D. conducting the service. Mr. Chandler was undertaker.
