Biography

MOORE FUNERAL HELD IN ATWOOD

ATWOOD, Aug. 1 –Adrian Thorn Moore, son of C. B. and M. O. Moore was born August 27, 1877 on the home farm where he died Saturday 21. His father died September 21, 1918 since which time he has lived with his mother at the old home.

He leaves his mother and by his sister, Mrs. F. A. Gilmore of Atwood.

He was a member of the Atwood lodge, No. 761-I. O. O. F.

The funeral was held Monday, August 1, in the Harshbarger church with Elder G. W. Rippey of Bethel Chapel in charge. Burial was in Harshbarger cemetery.

ADRIAN MOORE DIES AT ATWOOD

Death Comes at Home North of That Place Last Saturday. Funeral Held Monday Afternoon. Born in 1877.

Adrain[sic] Thorn Moore died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Martha O. Moore, north of Atwood, Saturday July 30th following an illness of about two months. He was born on the farm where he died on August 27, 1877[sic], his entire life having been spent in that immediate neighborhood. His father died September 31st, 1918, since which time he had lived with his mother. He is survived by his mother, and one sister, Mrs. F. A. Gilmore of Atwood, Illinois. He was a member of Atwood Lodge, No. 761, I. O. O. F. There was never more lovable soul than Adrain[sic] Moore. His life was filled with kindness and gentleness, and he was beloved by all who knew him. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Lake Fork church conducted by Rev. G. W. Rippey, the I. O. O. F. Lodge having charge of the graveside in the Harshbarger cemetery.
