Biography

Irvin Samuel Moore was born on 3 Mar 1939 in Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania. He was the only son of Irvin Samuel Moore and Margaret Lee Thompson.^[1]

In 1940, Irvin (1) was living with his parents and maternal grandparents at 313 Carsonia Avenue, Mount Penn, Berks, Pennsylvania. ^[2]

In 1950, Irvin (11) was living with his parents and widowed grandmother in Lower Alsace Township, Berks, Pennsylvania. ^[3]

In 1947 Irvin was baptized at the Second United Church of Christ in Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School, Reading, in 1957, from Ursinus College, Collegeville, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, in 1961, and from Lancaster Theological Seminary, Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1965.

Irvin was married on 15 Jun 1963 at Lancaster Theological Seminary. Rev. Paul Schmoyer, Rev. Victor Vogel, and Rev. Jay Ebersole performed the wedding ceremony. The couple raised two daughters.

Irvin died on 19 Jul 2019 in Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital, Salisbury Township, Lehigh, Pennsylvania, aged 80. He was buried on 4 Aug 2019 in Saint John's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Fogelsville, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.^[1]
