Biography

Provenance indefinite. FamilySearch.org shows she was the daughter of Henry Morehead(1812KY) and Tabitha Sullivan. On 7 Sep 1850, Henry and 'Tabetha' were counted in Massac, IL(just across the Ohio river from KY) and their family included Jane, age 15KY. Family oral history has her being born about 1834. Jane's first child was born in December of the same year, so for her to be the same person that married Calvin William Schell, she would have to have conceived before she married him, then apparently left her father's household after her son was born.

She apparently had two more sons and a daughter with C.W. Schell. He and the daughter supposedly expired about the same time in 1858.

Jane then married Thomas Miller about 1859 and had two daughters with him. They were counted in 1870 with the blended family, but are unaccounted for after then. The 1870 census showed both Thomas and Jane were born in Indiana, age 34. They supposedly later lived in 'the OK territories', which may explain why there are few records for that period.
