Biography

Julia Moorman was born March 31 1804 in North Carolina.[1] She was the daughter of John Moorman and Rebekah Diggs. She was listed in the Minuites of Quaker meeting in Back Creek Monthlly Meeting on january 27, 1816 in Randolph, North Carolina.[2] they were listed as "John Mormon and Rebecia his wife. children, Anna, Wilson, Judith, Rebeccah, Julia, John Mormon".

She married William Braden (1793-1843) in 1826. [3][1] Children;

  3. Susan Braden
  4. Pleasant Braden

They were living in Jackson, Howard County, Indiana in 1850, [4]where William was a Farmer through 1860[5]and 1870.[6] By 1880 Julia was a Widow living with her daughter Susan and husband Andrew Pence in Sims, Grant, Indiana.[7]

She died on Janluary 9, 1889 at the age of 84, in Howard County, Indiana, and was buried in the Converse Cemetery in Converse, Grant County, Indiana.[1]
