- Wedding certificate spells his name 'Michael Morhan', marrying 'Mary Rurke' on May 26, 1867, in the presence of Hames Hughes. Parish Register of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn, NY, filled out on June 2, 1896 (duplicate cert?).

- Naturalized on October 27, 1874, State of New York, King's County, Brooklyn

1880 Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island has his occupation as " Gardner" .Buried in Huntington.

- March 1875 - letter of recommendation as to his skills as a gardener and coachman. Employed by then for six years (began in 1869) for Arthur T. Hurd (note: Solange McGirr has found NY Times obituary notice for Arthur Hurd, died July 9, 1902 in Vermont).
