Jean Baptiste Moreau, son of Pierre Moreau and Marie Anne Delatte, was born on 16 August 1769 in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, New Spain. He was baptized on 17 September 1769 at St. Francis of Pointe Coupee church. His godparents were Jean Baptiste Labbe and Marguerite Moreau.[1]
