Biography

Christopher was born in 1867. He was the son of William Moreland and Emily McGowan.

Death notice confirmed he was 2nd son in family, that he was a reverend and that he was headmaster of Christ College, Christchurch, New Zealand. He passed away in 1912 aged 44.

Christopher Hudson Moreland was a scholar of Lincoln College, Oxford, B.A 1890, M.A 1894, ordained Deacon 1894, Priest 1895. From 1891 was an assistant Master at King Edward VI Grammar School at Norwich until 1903 when he was appointed Headmaster of Christs' College, Christchurch N.Z. He died on the 10th March 1912, and was buried at Linwood Cemetery, Christchurch.
