Biography

Solomon was born on the 2nd of February 1833 in Rowan County, North Carolina. He was the son of Hugh Morgan and Polly Poole.

  • Solomon Morgan enlisted as a Private in Company K, North Carolina 57th Infantry Regiment on 17 Jul 1862. [2]
  • Pvt. Solomon Morgan, CSA was Wounded in the Battle of Fredericksburg (11-15 Dec 1862) and his left arm was amputated.
  • Solomon Morgan passed away on the 31st of Ocobert 1910 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Hew as buried in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina. [3] Note: Birth date YEAR on tombstone is incorrect.
