Biography

Nicholas Morgan, born about 1761 or '62, was a son of Catharine (Street) Morgan (1735-1774) and James Morgan (1730-1792). His birth location probably was in or near Groton, Connecticut.

He married 15 Mar 1790 at Groton, Connecticut, Phebe Avery, with whom he had 12 children, all born at Groton:
