Biography
David Morgan died with a son in the
Universal Colliery disaster on 24-May 1901
David was a coal miner who was born about 1857.
He married Henrietta Evans in 1879. [1] By 1891, they had five children. [2]
Two more children had come along by 1911. David now had three sons who had joined him in the mine. [3] [4]
Tragedy struck on the morning of 24 May 1901, when David, as well his oldest son, William, perished in the Universal Colliery disaster.
David was 44 years old. [5]
