Biography

Nellie Morgan was born 4 Oct 1872 to Lindsay Morgan (from West Rutland, VT) and Hannah Jane McKisson (or McKinnon?) of Illinois (see death certificate source).

Joseph Kincaid married Nellie Morgan 3 May 1893 in Cass, Harrisonville County, Missouri. Both were from Harrisonville, he was over 21 and she was over 18 according to the marriage license issued by the Deputy Recorder 3 May 1893. Nellie appears on the 1930^[2] census in Pleasant Hill, Cass County MO with sons Raymond M. and Merle E. with status 'widowed' . Joseph died 6 Oct 1924 ^[3] with his death certificate showing a birth location of Ohio, age 57 (giving a birth year of 1867) and parents names unknown. The informant was his an attending doctor at State Hospital #3 in Vernon, Washington County but his residence was listed as Harrisonville. He was listed as having lived 11 years, 9 months and 29 days at the city or town where death ocurred which implies that he lived that long in Vernon and should therefore appear there in the 1920 census.

Nellie died 22 Feb 1936, her last residence was 317 N. Taylor in Pleasant Hill, Cass County, Missouri. She died of Bronchial pneumonia and her death certificate lists her parents names as well as her date of birth.^[4]
