Parramatta Lunatic Asylum- Admission - 1900 - Charles Morgan.. Has depression, says he sold his soul to the devil 47 years ago, for 2/- Sleepless, Morose, Unable to care for himself, Threatened to Commit suicide by drowning. Is very despondent over religion matters.

Charles Morgan.1900-1901 Summary—Charles Morgan, Age 71, Labourer, Native of Cobbitty, C/England, 10 children, youngest age 20 years, Patient an elderly man with a miserable expression, Grey hair, blue eyes, Band moustache, Hearing things, He is depressed, Miserable, replies with difficulty to questions, memory defective, dirty & untidy in dress, walks with a limp due to right leg being much shorter than left, takes his food badly, Demented, Destructive, sullen in disposition, dirty in habits, In feeble health with no mental improvements, uncommunicative, he thinks people are going to injure him.

Dubbo Dispatch & Wellington Independent 24/8/1901. P3. On Monday last a very old resident of this district passed away age 70.He had been ailing for the last 12 months. He leaves a grown up family of 6 sons & 4 daughters all born here.The late Mr Morgan was a native of Denby NSW. His remains were interred in the Church of England Cemetry, Milthorpe alongside his wife who predeceased him by about 6 years.
