Hello, Howard.

Regarding your message concerning father and son Roderick Finlayson and Roderick John Finlayson, I have no additional (public) information than what is contained on their profiles here and at FamilySearch.org.

If you have an interest in any of the locked Finlayson, Blong, or other related profiles that I manage, send me a Trusted List request from one of the profiles and include the IDs for any others for which you want access.

Naturally, you are free to edit any of the Open profiles.

Hi Lindy, Thank you for your quick reply. The reason I asked, was in regard to another Roderick Finlayson. b. 1889. in Tokatoka, Kaipara. He was a twin. And no one in his family knows what happened to him. So I thought [as you do] that I would eliminate, once & for all, that your Roderick was in no way, the same person. I have had a good look at all the profiles relating to your Roderick, and made some additions on Family Search. eg. Eliza Jane MacPherson, 1898 1981.

Now I will have to keep searching for the other Roderick. Regards, Howard.

Kia ora Howard, Thank you so much for responding to my need to add more links to our trees. I really do appreciate your help and knowledge surrounding my mother's mother's family - a line I haven't found emotionally easy to deal with in the past. Now I am meeting and enjoying my relations! Don't stop now Howard, as I am on a roll too!

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

I have been active with research since 1996. I have in excess of 13,000 carefully researched profiles on genes reunited. I do not use gedcom, I prefer to establish a profile myself, before adding. I like to have at least three confirmations on each profile, [Unless of course, I know the person], I cover mostly New Zealand, next would be Australia, then UK. No experience of USA, Europe, Africa, India, etc. As I have no direct connections there yet. If you have any questions, i would be only to pleased to respond,

Howard.

Hi! I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
